During his 28 year career with the Texas Comptroller, Mr. Cochran was involved in over 7,000 audits of over 19 different tax types while working as an auditor, audit supervisor and an audit manager. During the last eleven years with the Comptroller he helped create what is now known as the IAR or Independent Audit Reviewer program becoming the Comptrollers very first one. He is a trained commercial mediator and he has authored many of the Comptroller’s policies that are still in use today.
